Season’s Greetings! Burlington makes plans for Santa Claus Parade

It’s never too early to plan ahead, and with that being the case, mark this in your calendar.
The Burlington Santa Claus Parade will take place on Sunday, Dec. 3 this year.
While Santa ducked out of several parades during the pandemic, most parades returned last year and in 2023 it will be full-on business as usual for the jolly fellow from the North Pole.
The parade will start at 2 p.m. and follow this route (if you forget, we will remind you in November).:
- Begins at Guelph Line from Prospect St. to New St.
- New St. from Guelph Line to Martha St.
- James St. from Martha St. to Brant St.
- Brant St. from Baldwin St. /Victoria Ave.
- Concluding on Brant St. at Elgin St.
Impacted roads on the parade route will be closed from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Prospect St. from Cumberland Ave. to Guelph Line will be closed beginning at 11:30 a.m. for parade staging.
Applications to take part in the parade will begin in September.
