Crooks have made off with several valuable items through a series of robberies in Burlington.
Sometime between Aug. 20 and Sept. 30 thieves managed to get into a home in the John Street and Lakeshore Road area.
Once inside they were able to swipe two mobility scoots, a television and a cellphone.
Then, in the early hours of Sept. 12, Aardvark Comics on Plains Road East was the target.
According to reports, the culprit smashed through the front door of the comic shop just before 2:30 a.m. Multiple comic books were taken.
Next, between Sept. 13 and 16, thieves were able to break into a construction yard on Morris Drive by cutting through a fence. They were able to make off with several pieces of aluminum worth almost $50,000.
In all three cases, police continue to investigate but there is no descriptions of who they are looking for and no information on whether the crimes are related.
