Scholarship available for Milton student who attends new Laurier University campus

With a new university campus in town, the Milton Chamber of Commerce decided it would be appropriate to offer a new scholarship to that school.
The Chamber announced the addition of a new scholarship to its existing program for the 2024 academic year, in partnership with Wilfrid Laurier University.
Since 1990, the Milton Chamber of Commerce has been dedicated to supporting local high school graduates in their pursuit of higher education by offering monetary scholarships to students entering post-secondary studies.
This year, the Chamber providing further avenues for deserving students to access financial assistance.
The 2024 Scholarship program will award scholarships to:
- One student from each Milton high school
- A child of a current Chamber member
- One student attending Laurier Milton
“The rising cost of living continues to affect businesses and households across Milton,” said Bianca Caramento, CEO of the Milton Chamber of Commerce. “These scholarships will help students in our community attain the education they need.”
The Milton Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit, membership-based organization representing approximately 700 member businesses that employ over 26,000 people in the community.
“We are grateful for the Milton Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to supporting postsecondary education and for their investment in Laurier students,” said Deborah MacLatchy, president and vice-chancellor of Wilfrid Laurier University.
“Supporting students in Milton means they can access a high quality Laurier education, close to home.”
