Scam costs Burlington business $9,000 worth of merchandise

A Burlington business was scammed out of $9,000 with of goods by a customer who used a fake credit card.

Police say Burlington Medical Aesthetics on Appleby Line was targeted when the products were ordered by the customer in February.

Paying in advance with a credit card, the approximately $9,000 worth of skin care products were then picked up by the customer.

Once the goods were taken, police say it was discovered the credit card were fake.

The goods have not yet been recovered and police are still investigating.
