Roads surrounding Oakville’s Coronation Park to be closed for annual toy drive

Santa Claus is in town Friday for the Drive-Thru Toy event and roads surrounding Oakville’s Coronation Park will be closed in preparation of his arrival.

Residents attending the Oakville Professional Fire Fighters Association Christmas Toy Drive are being asked to approach the park by travelling eastbound on Lakeshore Road from Third Line or Bronte Road.

Full and partial road closures for the event will be as follows:

Full Closure: Westminster Drive at Trenton Road

  • 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Barricades south of Trenton Road intersection at 4:30 p.m.
  • No access to Lakeshore Road
  • Residents required to use detour via Trenton Road
  • Barricades at Lakeshore Road on Westminster Drive for a partial closure at 4:30 p.m.

Partial Closure: Belvedere Drive at Lakeshore Road

  • 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Barricades at Lakeshore Road at 4:30 p.m.
  • Local Access only
  • Residents access Lakeshore Road, both eastbound and westbound

Partial Closure: Hamlet Common at Lakeshore Road

  • 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Barricades at Lakeshore Road at 4:30 p.m.
  • Local Access only
  • Residents access via Lakeshore Road, both eastbound and westbound

Parking Lot Closures

  • Coronation Park East parking lot, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (closed to public, event staff only)
  • Coronation Park Stone Barn Driveway, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. (closed to public, event staff only)
  • Coronation Park West parking lot, partial closure of 15 spots, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
