Risk of damaging winds, flash floods as storm rolls into Oakville, Burlington and Halton Region

Oakville, Burlington and all of Halton Region could be in for some nasty weather Wednesday night (July 26).

Various weather reports say severe weather is moving into the area beginning this evening, bringing with it the risk of damaging winds, large hail, heavy precipitation that could lead to flash floods and tornadoes.

A cluster of thunderstorms is currently moving across the Midwestern United States to the Great Lakes and bringing with it the potential for severe storms across southern Ontario.

Most the day is expected to be on the hot and dry, but the heat and humidity could add to these incoming storms.

The storm is expected to move east overnight and arrive in Ottawa by Thursday morning.
