Repaving and upgrades will slow traffic near Burlington park

Motorists are being asked to avoid a Burlington street later this week so that road work can be completed.

The project is on LaSalle Park Rd. and will take place on Thursday, July 20.

Although the road will be open to local traffic, the City wants residents and visitors to avoid the area during this time period if possible.

The work that is being done is the asphalt paving of the road.

Paving will take place on the road from Oaklands Park Crt. to LaSalle Marina from 8 to 10 p.m., and from North Shore Blvd. to Oakland Park Crt. from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The entire project will eventually see the reconstructions and what is called the urbanization of LaSalle Park Rd. including sidewalks, concrete curbs, street lighting upgrades, as well as the road paving.
