Oakville’s administrative powers are reminding residents to register for one of the town’s snow-clearing programs before the deadline.
With an application window from Oct. 7 to Nov.1 — and limited registration space — municipal authorities are urging those with driveways in Oakville to register for the windrow snow-clearing program before it is too late.
According to town officials, the program is designed to clear the snow left at the base of driveways by snowplows servicing major roads throughout the Oakville region.

Currently in its public registration period, the service costs $118 and runs from December 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
Details surrounding this program indicate that windrow clearing only occurs once per winter event and within 36 hours of a major snowfall.
Municipal officials have further indicated that there is only a limit of 1,100 driveways per registration period — and if it fills up before the November deadline — no further applications will be granted.
