Halton Region is taking a look at how Regional Road 25 (Bronte Rd.) can be improved between Oakville and Milton.
The Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) study is looking at the stretch between Speers Rd. in Oakville and Derry Rd. in Milton.
“The MCEA study is considering a wide range of multi-modal transportation improvements, including widening the roadway, cross-sectional requirements, active transportation, transit supportive infrastructure, intersection improvements, and overall traffic operations,” said a Region spokesperson.
“The impacts of transportation improvements on social, cultural, and natural environments will be assessed and evaluated throughout the study.”
A key component of the study is consultation with interested parties (public and review agencies) through Public Information Centres (PIC).
“The purpose of the first PIC is to review and obtain public input on the study area needs and opportunities, background information, selection of the preferred solution, and next steps in the study. Anyone with an interest in this study is invited to participate virtually.”
Members of the public can visit the online consultation webpage on halton.ca to view pre-recorded videos about the study, provide input through an online comment form and learn more from Oct. 12 to Nov. 9.
The deadline to provide comments is Thursday, Nov. 9.
