After a COVID-19-related hiatus, the Motorcycle Ride for Charity by the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation is back and making a stop in Milton.
The ORCF enables and empowers Realtors across Ontario to fundraise in support of shelter-related causes in the communities in which they live and work.
The annual Motorcycle Ride for Charity, now in its 15th year, has featured Ontario Realtors in their fundraising pursuits. Those who ride motorcycles rev up their engines and make their way to different cities each year as a tribute, with stop celebrations, speeches and more, all in support of Ontario charities.
This year’s adventure across southern Ontario will bring riders to Turkey Point, after stops in Milton, Hamilton and St. Catharines.
Over the years, the Ride has raised more than $400,000 for local shelter-based charities in Ontario. This year’s goal is $40,000, and they are already halfway there.
The ride is being held Wednesday, Sept. 28, with an 8 a.m. kickoff at the Mattamy Cycling Centre spectator parking lot, 2015 Pan Am Blvd. in Milton.
The morning stop in Hamilton will be around 10:15 a.m. at Dundurn Park, 610 York Blvd. and the lunch stop will be at 1:15 p.m. Flagship Fries, 1244 Welland Canals Parkway St. in St. Catharines.
