Rain washes out games on most Burlington playing fields

Rain has again forced the closure of outdoor grass playing fields in Burlington today (June 27).

This means that games scheduled for all grass multi-use fields and baseball diamonds are cancelled.

This is the second day in a row that the weather has created unplayable conditions on the fields.

Outdoor fields with artificial turf, however, remain open for use.

Rain and wet conditions have also closed natural playing surfaces today in Oakville.

Team members are asked to check with their coaches for when games will be made up.
