Oakville residents can have their say on what kind of stores they need and would like to see added in the north part of town.

In an effort to determine the retail and commercial needs in North Oakville, the town has launched an online public survey seeking public feedback about the shopping patterns and experiences of residents.

The study area is focused on the lands north of Dundas St., south of Highway 407, west of Ninth Line and east of Sixteen Mile Creek.

The North Oakville East Commercial study will help the town gain a comprehensive understanding of current and future commercial needs in North Oakville.

The survey is open to all residents and visitors to Oakville.

Commercial needs are shops that meet people’s daily needs and include such businesses as grocery stores, retail stores, health services and professional services.

The feedback collected in the survey will help the town determine the quantity, scale, location and type of commercial spaces needed to serve the growing community.

The online survey closes on Oct. 13, 2023.
