Proposed developed for Plains Road East in Burlington.

A condo project considered for a busy Burlington street would replace several old homes.

The proposed project in Aldershot calls for an 11-storey mixed-use building containing commercial and residential uses at-grade, and residential uses in its above-ground levels.

It would be located where homes from 84 to 104 Plains Road East and 990 Glenwood Avenue now stand.

The builder has yet to formally submit an application for the project but a public meeting to discuss the development has been set for Oct. 30, 6:30 p.m. at St. Matthew on-the-Plains Anglican Church, 126 Plains Road East.

MacNaughton Hermsen Britton Clarkson Planning Limited (MHBC) and Miura Development Group Inc. are hosting the meeting to share details about the proposed development, answer questions, and seek feedback from the community. City planning staff will also discuss the planning process and future opportunities for public engagement.

The project calls for 255 residential units, consisting of three studio units, 162 one-bedroom units, 48 two-bedroom units, and 41 three-bedroom units. Much of the ground floor would consist of shops and other commercial spaces.
