The importance of timely cancer screening is the topic of discussion at an upcoming session at the Burlington Central Library.

The preventive health care event is presented by the Burlington Ontario Health Team (BOHT) and the Burlington Family Health Team and will focus on current cancer screening guidelines and methods and why it’s vital to screen for breast, colon and cervical cancers.

Healthcare experts say preventive care is essential for overall health and well-being. It helps to keep you healthier to identify problems earlier, making them easier to treat.

A nurse from the Burlington Family Health Team will lead the discussion.

The Burlington Ontario Health Team and the Burlington Family Health Team are local organizations that collaborate to provide healthcare services and information to the community.

The session takes place on Tuesday, March 19 starting at 7 p.m.

Registration information can be found here.
