Power outage in Bronte East community of Oakville

Residents in a Bronte East community in Oakville are without power on Thursday afternoon (Sept. 28).

Oakville Hydro received reports just before 1 p.m. that there was a power outage in the area of Sheldon Ave. Areas affected include as far north as the 407, as far east to Winston Churchill Blvd. and as far west as Burloak Dr.

Cause of the power outage has not been released. It’s not known how many residents are affected.

Hydro crews arrived at the south Oakville location and have been working on restoring power for the last hour.

Oakville Hydro says the estimated time of restoration is 6 p.m.
