Oakville indoor pool closed for the rest of the week

Residents looking to cool off with a dip at the Glen Abbey Recreation Community Centre pool will have to look elsewhere over the next week.

The Town of Oakville has announced the local pool, located at 1415 Third Line, will be closed for temporary maintenance scheduled from June 19 to 25.

The indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and slide are schedule to re-open on June 26.

Residents can still go for a swim in town at the other four indoor and four outdoor pools.

Indoor pools currently open are the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre (1051 Glenashton Dr.), Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre (325 Reynolds St.), Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (2302 Bridge Rd.) and White Oaks Pool (1330 Montclair Dr.).

Outdoor pools open in town includes the Bronte Pool (2184 Hixon St.), Brookdale Pool (1215 Bridge Rd.), Falgarwood Pool (1349 Gainsborough Dr.) and Wedgewood Pool (351 Cairncroft Rd.).
