Oakville residents will soon have the opportunity to see what all the hype is about as Wingstop is about to open.
One of the most popular places to get chicken wings south of the border, Wingstop is holding the grand opening of its newest location Friday, Oct. 18, at Abbey Centre Plaza, 233 North Service Road.
The chain, which was founded 30 years ago in Dallas, has more than 2,250 locations around the world, the vast majority in the U.S. It has committed to an aggressive Canadian expansion plan over the next few years.
Their menu is fairly simple – wings, tenders, fries, veggie sticks and Cajun friend corn – but the full experience comes with a wide variety of flavours.
If you prefer something on the mild side, there is honey garlic, lemon pepper, Hawaiian and garlic parmesan. The heat volume gets turned up from there, with options like Louisiana Rub, spicy Korean, Cajun, mango habanero and atomic.
The restaurant will be taking the location of Quiznos Subs, which is moving to a different location in the plaza.
