‘Pop-up’ road test centre coming to Burlington

Burlington residents looking to get their license can get behind the wheel at a new ‘pop-up’ road test centre coming to the city.
The province is setting up a temporary location at the Burlington GO Station, which will host G2 and G road tests every day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning on Sept. 7
Hoping to clear the logjam of test bookings after a full-scale shutdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, the province is opening more ‘pop-up’ road test centres in high-demand areas such as Burlington, Markham and East Gwillimbury.
Temporary centres in Mississauga, Ottawa, Niagara Region and southwestern Ontario are scheduled to be opened in the coming weeks.
The province, which has hired 251 temporary test instructors to deal with logjam, has already opened similar ‘pop-up’ locations in Guelph and Oshawa after they resumed testing earlier this summer.
