Police seeking public’s help in solving targeted armed home invasion in Milton Saturday night

Halton Police Service wants the public’s help into what is being called a targeted armed home invasion that happened around midnight Saturday night.

Police say three masked men, armed with handguns, entered an unlocked front door of a home on Commercial Street and assaulted the occupants of the home and demanded cash.

Personal property was taken, Halton Police added, and the victims did not suffer serious injuries.

Investigators believe the home invasion was targeted.

The suspects were described as three young black males, possibly Somalian (one of the suspects spoke in Somalian during the attack), who were driving a black SUV.

Investigators are appealing to the public for any dash cam footage near the intersection of Commercial Street and Derry Road West from 8 p.m. Saturday night to 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
