Police seeking public’s assistance in locating suspect connected to assault that occurred at Burlington Canadian Tire over weekend

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to an assault that occurred in Burlington over the weekend.
At approximately 9:45 a.m. on Sunday (June 6), Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) was called to the Canadian Tire at 777 Guelph Line after a female employee was assaulted by a man unknown to her.
The woman was able to free herself from the man’s grasp, but she sustained an injury to her arm during the altercation.
According to HRPS, the suspect also visited the store on June 5, and made multiple attempts to interact with the victim, including pointing his phone at her.
The suspect is described as a white man estimated to be in his 40’s with a goatee and greyish-black hair. On June 5 he was seen wearing a navy blue button-up shirt with a collar, beige cargo pants, sandals, a camo baseball cap, and sunglasses with blue lenses and black frames. On June 6 he was seen wearing a black athletic-wear shirt, grey khaki shorts, with the same camo hat and a blue surgical mask hanging from one ear.
