Police puzzled after discovering a makeshift seat for third passenger in a shipping truck in Halton Region

A traffic stop by local police in the Halton Region has revealed a rather unorthodox find.
In a post to X (formerly Twitter) officers within the Halton Regional Police Services (HRPS) traffic division posted an image showing the front cab of a stopped truck, which specifically, featured a foam seat to accommodate a third passenger.
Officers initially stopped the suspected vehicle when they saw three individuals sitting in the front section — as traditionally — the front cab of a truck (or any modern commercial transport vehicle) would have two seats, one for the driver and one for a passenger.
🤔 Something doesn’t look right here.

Multiple Charges laid during stop to both driver and that passenger.

However, police were puzzled to find a makeshift block of foam designed to accommodate the third passenger.
Police indicated that multiple charges were laid against the driver and the passenger using the foam block.
