The province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating after a police officer shot a man near a Burlington shopping mall last night.

Several Halton Regional Police officers rushed to an apartment complex near Dynes Road and Prospect Street, near Burlington Centre, for a report of a disturbance around 8 p.m. last night (June 27).

When police arrived they found a man with a firearm and there was an interaction, the SIU said.
