Police offer glimpse behind the curtain for residents of Burlington, Oakville, Milton

Have you ever wanted to learn first-hand about what our officers do each day in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills?
The Halton police’s Citizen Police Academy (CPA) is a free, nine-week program where Halton residents have an opportunity to come in and learn about policing in their community.
Attendees can expect to participate in sessions led by members of specialized units of the Halton Regional Police Service, including drugs, homicide, emergency services, and the training bureau.
The next CPA session starts Monday, Sept. 18 and runs every Monday for nine consecutive weeks with the final session on Nov. 20.
Each session will range from two to three hours, with a starting time of either 6 or 7 p.m.
The sessions will be held in-person at HRPS Headquarters, 2485 North Service Rd. W., Oakville.

- Monday, Sept. 18, 7 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 25, 7 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 2, 6 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 16, 7 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 23, 6 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 30, 7 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 6, 7 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 13, 7 – 9 p.m.
- Monday, Nov. 20, 7 – 9 p.m.
To apply, you must be at least 18 years of age, work or reside in Halton region, pass a background security check and be able to attend all nine sessions
