Police need help finding man who stole $40,000 ring from Burlington jewelry store

Halton police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man wanted for last month’s robbery of a jewelry store in Burlington Centre.

According to police, on Oct. 12, at around 5:20 p.m., a man entered Griffin Jewellery Designs in Burlington Centre and asked to look at some rings. While in possession of an expensive engagement ring, the suspect told the employee that there were people outside of the store with guns. The suspect then departed the store with the ring, estimated at $40,000.

The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, and over 6-feet, with a fit build. He was clean shaven with dark brown hair and light brown eyes. He was wearing black shoes, black Adidas pants, a black jacket, black t-shirt, dark tinted aviator-style sunglasses, and had multiple light-coloured scars on both hands.
