Halton Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the owners of property that was allegedly stolen from various businesses in Oakville.

On May 7, 45-year-old Vito Ferrari of Oakville was arrested. The following day, officers searched an Oakville residence and “seized property further linked to break and enter offenses, along with a large number of tools, copper, and industrial equipment that is believed to be stolen”, according to Halton Police.
Police say the entries and thefts occurred between February and May with businesses and construction sites being targeted for tools, equipment, and scrap metal.
Ferrari was charged with:
- Break and Enter (x8)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (x9)
- Theft Over $5,000
- Theft Under $5,000 (x2)
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Fail to Comply with Probation (x2)
Investigators say they are in the process of identifying the owners of the stolen property.
Ferrari was held pending a bail hearing on Monday (May 11).
