Update: 78-year-old woman has been located

Police put out a tweet at 9: 05 p.m. this evening stating that the elderly woman was located and has been reunited with her family.

Halton Police are seeking public assistance in locating a 78-year-old woman who went missing this evening (Sept. 12)

Authorities say she was last seen at 4 p.m., walking in the area of Plains Rd. E and King Rd, close to Fortinos.

The woman is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and grey hair.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a grey sweater.

Police are concerned for her well-being and anyone with information is asked to contact 911 immediately.

Halton Police thanked the public for their assistance in their search.
