Planned power outage will see some Halton Hills homes go dark

A number of residences will be without power in a Halton Hills neighbourhood tomorrow (Nov. 29).

Halton Hills Hydro says power will be shut off in an area near downtown Acton from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Homes affected will be on Young St. Peel St. Arthur St. Mills St. E., Wellington St. and George St.

“The planned outage is necessary to complete upgrades to the distribution system,” Halton Hills Hydro through social media channels. “The power may be restored prior to the stated time if work is completed ahead of projected timelines.”

The hydro company said the current weather may affect the work in the area and if that is the case, the outage time will be rescheduled.
