One of the traditions of early fall is the Harvest Festival at Bronte Creek Provincial Park.

Nestled on the border of Oakville and Burlington, the park is hosting this year’s event Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

“Experience harvest season as it might have been over 100 years ago at Bronte Creek Provincial Park’s historic Spruce Lane Farm,” said a spokesperson.

“The Friends of Bronte Creek Park are planning two amazing days of demonstrations and activities.”

Here are some of the events planned:

  • Pick your own pumpkins
  • Kettle corn, hot dogs, fresh corn, apple cider and apple blossoms
  • Tour of the 124-year-old farmhouse
  • Apple Cider pressing demonstrations
  • Make a souvenir using a four-foot long cross cut saw
  • Tour the park on a tractor-drawn wagon ride
  • Visit the farm animals
  • Heritage demonstrations

Most activities are free with park admission. There is a cost to purchase food. To make a reservation, visit here.
