Perfume thieves rough up Burlington store clerk

Thieves looking for free perfume got rough with a Burlington drug store clerk last week.
Police reports indicate the incident unfolded at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 3023 New Street on Oct. 3.
Around 9 p.m. a man went into the store around 9 p.m. and asked an employee if he could see some of the perfume that was locked behind a counter.
Once the perfume was brought out, two other men appeared and they all started to grab the items.
As the culprits were attempting to leave, another store worker tried to intervene and was injured following a brief struggle. The suspects then fled the store with the goods.
The store clerk was not seriously injured.
Descriptions of those responsible are vague.
One man was wearing a white shirt, grey track pants, white shoes and a black hat.
The other two men were wearing masks and dark clothing.
