Pedestrian ‘thrown’ after Milton collision

A 35-year-old Milton man is in hospital after Halton Police say he was struck by a vehicle travelling westbound through the intersection of Thompson Rd. and Laurier Ave.
A 35-year-old Milton man is in hospital after Halton Police say he was struck by a vehicle travelling westbound through the intersection of Thompson Rd. and Laurier Ave. Wednesday morning at around 7:30.
“The pedestrian was thrown some distance and came to rest on the roadway west of the intersection,” according to Halton Regional Police (HRP). “He was transported to the hospital where he remains with critical injuries.”
The 48-year-old driver of the Toyota CH-R, a Milton man, was not injured.
Police did not indicate whether charges have been laid.
HRP are asking the witnesses of the incident to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
