Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in Highway 403 collision in Burlington

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit on Highway 403 in Burlington.
The person was hit in the eastbound lanes of the highway at the Waterdown exit, OPP said in a post on X.
Emergency crews were called at 12:31 a.m. today (April 10), police said.
Police said the person was in life-threatening condition and was taken to a local hospital.
Reports indicate the pedestrian, a woman, was walking on the highway before being hit by a transport truck.
The highway was closed for several hours but has reopened, police added.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
