Pair of Milton parks getting fall makeovers, larger renovations on the way

A pair of Milton parks will be getting some fall maintenance.

As part of the town’s ongoing improvement efforts, arbourist work is scheduled to begin soon at both Watson and Melanie Parks.

The work will involve tree maintenance, including removals and pruning to ensure the long-term health and safety of the parks’ natural environment.

Work is expected to begin in mid-October at Watson Park, 1599 Clark Blvd., and early November at Melanie Park, 747 Woodward Ave.

Both parks are also scheduled for more robust facelifts beginning next year that includes:

• Tree preservation
• Open grass areas
• Landscape planting
• Pathway improvements
• Children’s play area
• Site furniture and signage

During this time, areas within the parks may be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of residents and workers.
