Over-loaded vehicle pulled off Halton road after police safety check

Halton police pulled a huge semi and trailer pulling an oversized load off Halton streets today, July 3.

According to the Twitter accound of the Halton Regional Police Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit, the oversized load was stopped for a permit check.

Police said it ended up being out of service for brake issues, load securement, a bulging tire, driveshaft issue, and an expired oversized permit.

Police are reminding drivers to do their pre-trip preparation and check their documents before starting a trip.
