Organizers say run for Georgetown Hospital close to fundraising target

There’s still time for Halton Hills residents to help Georgetown Hospital reach its fundraising goal of $85,000.

The 15th annual Walk or Run for Georgetown Hospital is being held Sunday, Sept. 24. Over the years, more than $1M has been raised for vital equipment and technology needs at Georgetown Hospital.

According to organizers, they’re just a few thousand dollars short of their goal and a few more people to take part in the Walk or Run could put them over the top.

Registration costs $40 for adults and $20 for kids 12 and under. The gathering point for the run is the Gellert Community Centre.

In addition to the actual event, there are plenty of activities and entertainment for participants and spectators alike. Enjoy complimentary food from local restaurants, visit a number of small businesses at our vendor fair, interact with mascots and take part in fun kid-friendly activities.
