There are only a couple of chances left to see a free movie in an Oakville park this summer.

The final two events in the Movies in the Park program are Wednesday, Aug. 14, and Aug. 21.

Everyone is invited to bring a picnic blanket, lawn chairs and your favourite snacks to enjoy a film and other family-friendly activities as well.

The final two movies on the schedule are:

  • August 14: Shrek, Fowley Park, 106 Fowley Drive
  • August 21: The Parent Trap, Valleybrook Park, 1150 Valleybrook Drive

Entry and family-friendly activities begin at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning around dusk, around 8:30 p.m.

In addition to the movies, visitors will have a chance to connect with friends and neighbours, visit the Oakville Public Library’s Library on the Go book bike, and meet Sparky and Oakville Fire crews to learn about how to be fire safe.

In the event of inclement weather, Movies in the Park may be moved to an indoor location.
