Oakville teen shot with pellet gun after having food stolen in mall food court

Two Oakville teenagers are facing numerous charges after an incident in a food court at a local mall Tuesday afternoon led to another teenager saying he was shot with a pellet gun in the parking lot.
A 16-year-old Oakville teen told Halton Regional Police he was in the food court at Oakville Place around 3 p.m. when another teenager he knew approached him and grabbed his food while brandishing a pellet gun.
The teenager would be approached by the suspect and another teen a short time later in the Oakville Place parking lot. He was then shot in the hip by the suspect, allege police who added several more shots were fired before the teenage victim ran away.
The victim suffered a minor injury.
Halton police received calls about the incident at 4:35 p.m. and would attend the area where they located both suspects and arrested them.
Police have charged one 16-year-old male from Oakville with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. He was released on undertaking.
A second 16-year-old male from Oakville was charged with robbery with a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm with intent. He was held for bail.
