Oakville steakhouse on list of top 100 Canadian restaurants

Restaurant goers have named Oliver’s Steakhouse in Oakville among the top 100 restaurants in Canada.
The popular local downtown restaurant made the OpenTable’s list compiled from over 540,000 reviews by diners on the restaurant reservation service.
The four-star, family-run modern steakhouse features premier steaks including A5 Kobe, American Wagyu, in house dry USDA Prime and PEI naturally raised grass fed beef along with a variety of home-made pastas and fresh fish.
Oliver’s has also won New York’s Wine Spectator’s Award for Excellence each year for over a decade.
“The decor is contemporary and stylish, and the food is prepared with a keen eye for detail and taste,” says the review done by OpenTable.
OpenTable’s software seats more than a billion people per year at 60,000 restaurants bars, wineries and other venues.
They also compile other top 100 lists such as top restaurants for a date and for outdoor dining.
With diners wanting to get out more after a long year of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, OpenTable says reservations have increased. New Year’s Eve bookings have even started earlier than usual.
“After more than a year of restrictions, diners are eager to experiment and make up for lost time,” said Matt Davis, Canada’s country director at OpenTable.
