It takes team work to be successful and no one knows that better then the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club when it comes supporting the Gift of Giving Back Food Drive.
Players and families from the 95 teams in the local minor hockey organization helped raise more than 122,000 pounds of food for their partner charities.
The Rangers also joined forces with St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School students and along with corporate donations, collected more than $404,000 in food donations and another $14,000 in financial donations.
All the food collected will be distributed to the Kerr Street Mission, The Salvation Army, Food For Life, Halton Women’s Place and ROCK, the Reach Out Centre for Kids.
