Oakville neighbourhood faces power outage

A power outage has hit several homes in Oakville this afternoon (Aug. 16).

Oakville Hydro reports those who live in the neighbourhood east of Trafalgar Rd. and north of Upper Middle Rd. have been affected.

The cause of the power loss is unknown and crews have been dispatched to the area to investigate.

Specific streets that have been affected included Golden Briar Trail, Old Orchard Circle, Evergreen Cres. and Briar Hall Gate.

It’s not how many residences are currently without power.

Oakville Hydro expects to have the power restored to this area by early evening.
