An Oakville man is $100,000 richer after matching the last six Encore numbers in the exact order in the July 30 Lotto Max draw.

Michel Manseau, 61, has been playing the lottery with OLG for about 20 years and occasionally plays Lotto Max. He won big by adding Encore to a ticket he purchased through his OLG.ca account.

“It was early morning, and I was just getting my day started when I received an email from OLG,” said Manseau when he visited the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

“I logged into my account on the OLG app and saw the amount I had won. Honestly, I was skeptical at first. I had to look at the amount a few times, recounting the zeros to make sure I was reading the number correctly.”

When he told his wife about the win, “She didn’t believe me at first and kept saying, ‘You’re joking!’ I showed her the email, confirming it was real. She was so happy for us. It was such an exciting moment to share with her.”

Manseau said winning has been joyous and happy, “but it still feels weird.”

His plans for his windfall include adding to savings and, “making the kids happy.”
