Oakville, Burlington breweries clean up at Ontario Brewing Awards

Oakville and Burlington breweries had a big weekend at the Ontario Brewing Awards with four medals, including two gold medals.

Nickel Brook Brewing of Burlington scored gold in the Pale American Ale category for their Naughty Neighbour Pale Ale, while Cameron’s Brewing of Oakville earned a best of show in the Amber Malty European category for Cameron’s Best Bock.

Nickel Brook also earned a silver medal for Wood Beer for Kentucky Bastard and a bronze in the American Wild Ale category for Zap! Pink Lemonade Sour.

Cameron’s added a silver for Ambear Red Ale in the Amber and Brown American Beer.

The Best in Show Award went to Double Tempest, an Imperial Stout from Amsterdam Brewery of Toronto.

The awards are sanctioned and judged by the Beer Judge Certification Program and judged according to published style guidelines.
