Oakville, Burlington, Acton businesses win national excellence awards

An Oakville tech company, Burlington marketing agency and Acton manufacture of safety gloves and sleeves are being recognized for their outstanding achievements in the private sector.

Oakville’s Geotab, Burlington’s Jan Kelley Marketing and Acton’s Superior Glove Works are among the 24 Canadian award winning organizations who will be honoured at the 2023 Canadian Business Excellence Awards for Private Businesses being held June 8 at the Malaparte (TIFF Bell Lightbox) in Toronto.

Hosted by Excellence Canada, the annual awards program recognizes outstanding achievements by businesses in the private sector, from coast-to-coast across Canada.
Award winners clearly demonstrate a strategic approach to successfully improving business performance and achieving goals, with the focus being on three key performance areas: Delighted Customers; Engaged Employees; and Innovation.

The local company connects over 3.5 million vehicles and processes more than 55 billion data points a day so that customers can make better decisions, increase productivity, have safer fleets and achieve their sustainability goals.

Jan Kelley Marketing is a fully independent, Canadian-owned creative digital agency.

The company aims to “do what’s best for their clients”, whether that investing time and effort to form innovation-focused partnerships, developing processes that drive efficiencies or learning to leverage over 200 digital tools that inform them on the latest trends.

Superior Glove Works is a leading manufacturer and wholesale supplier of work and safety gloves and are sleeves.

Since 1910, the Acton business has been helping to protect workers around the world with specialized hand and arm protection for every major industry.

Applicants are evaluated by the adjudication committee of the Canadian Business Excellence Award and are benchmarked on their own merit and do not compete against one another.

Any Canadian owned and controlled private business operating in Canada that has been in operation for at least three years and has revenues over one million dollars annually may apply to receive the award.
