Noisy vehicle leads to several fines against driver in Burlington

Halton police continue to pull loud vehicles off the road in Burlington.

The latest incident occurred yesterday (March 18) when a noisy car was stopped on Walkers Line near Mainway around 10:30 p.m..

According to police, the offending vehicle had an illegally modified muffler which created excessive noise.

As well as the noise, the driver was also ticketed for having illegally tinted windows and license plates that were obstructed.

In total, there were five total charges against the driver.

The result was the driver is facing a suspended license and had their car removed from the road.

As is usually the case with tickets under the Highway Traffic Act, the name of the person has not been released.
