No goosing around, ‘perpetrator’ taken to Oakville & Milton Humane Society in OPP cruiser

The Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) receives a good deal of animals in distress or injured, but this delivery turned out to be a real “honker.”
On a post on its Facebook page, the local animal shelter tells the funny story of an OPP officer arriving at the shelter with an interesting character locked up in the back seat.
“I have a perpetrator for you,” the unnamed OPP officer told the OHMS.
When a member of the OHMS staff went to check out the situation, there was a Canada goose in the back seat of the cruiser.
The OPP officer had seen the goose get hit by a car and picked it up and drove it to the OMHS.
“One of our Registered Veterinary Technicians did a full exam and determined that it was okay to be released,” said the OHMS.
The following day an Animal Protection Services officer released it safely close to where it was found.
The local animal shelter used the recent fun story on social media to remind people to call them if they have ever come across an animal in distress or injured.
“If you ever see an animal in distress or injured, please make sure to contact us at 905-845-1551,” said the Facebook post.
