New specialized and custom hair shop opens in downtown Oakville

A new specialized and custom hair services shop in downtown Oakville is aiming to ensure you leave feeling confident and gorgeous with beautiful healthy hair.

Headed by owner and leading artist Sandro Couto, Hairluxe Co. specializes in blondes, balayage and extension artistry.

Couto is always caught up on the latest fashions and beauty trends as well as new products.

“Sandra and her team are educated hair artistry professionals that offer specialized and custom hair services to ensure beautiful and desired results using only the best products and tools in the hair industry,” said the shop’s website

The hair salon, which is located at 118 Thomas St., will be celebrating its grand opening on Monday, Sept. 18. From 6 to 9 p.m.

Couto, who started at the age of 15 and graduated from a private hair artistry college, has been involved in the beauty industry for over 16 years and has received numerous nominations and recognition in the industry.

Her “extensive portfolio” includes her work in publishing such as Elegant Weddings” and Wedluxe, as well as numerous wedding blogs. Couto has also worked with celebrities such as Kate Campbell and has also worked on a wedding featured in Four Weddings Canada.

She has also worked to master her skills in colour and styling as well as have an “exquisite detail” for bridal hair artistry.

“Sandra is a perfectionist and won’t allow a client to leave unless their hair is absolutely perfect,” said the Hairluxe Co. website.

Early reviews on Google have been very positive.

“She really listens and takes the time to understand what her client is looking for,” said Laura Benedetto. “I am so unbelievably happy with her work; she knocked it out of the park!!! I will 100 per cent be returning.”

The grand opening will include a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Hairluxe Co. is open Tuesday to Friday, by appointment only.
