Lovers of Pakistani food will soon have a new place to try in Oakville.

After serving up Pakistani BBQ food for over 13 years at their Mississauga location, Café De Khan is getting ready to open a new restaurant at 2423 Trafalgar Rd., Suite 1.

Café De Khan began its journey in 1952, taking part in an international exhibition held at Karachi in 1954. It was at the Australian World Expo in 1988 where they introduced Pakistani food.

Now the restaurant is looking to bring its “eclectic” Pakistani BBQ food to Oakville.

“We take pride in offering the flavors of Pakistan using fresh products,” Café De Khan says on its website. “We invite you to dine with us and we assure you this will add to your good memories.”

Cooking is a passion at the Pakistani eatery and they boast of using only the finest and freshest ingredients to make BBQ that will “fill your belly and warm your heart.”

From vegetarian and curry kitchen specials to juicy grilled BBQ options like Chicken Malai Tikka, Lahori Chargha, Beef Seekh Kabab and Beef Peshawari Kabab there’s a wide variety.

Try their famous lunch special which they make sure is slowly smoked and grilled over hot coals to create the savory and sultry tastes you love.

Appetizers include everything from French fries, chicken wings and spring rolls to Pani Puri, Channa Chaat Papri and Samosa with Channa.

While Cafe De Khan has yet to post the hours for its new location in Oakville, the Mississauga restaurant (6400 Millcreek Dr., Unit 13) is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday to Thursdays, 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 12 to 10:30 p.m. on Sundays.
