New Mediterranean restaurant in Oakville officially opens doors

Oakville’s newest Mediterranean restaurant is officially opening its doors Friday (July 21).

Wared Restaurant, located in the heart of Kerr Village at 438 Kerr St., is holding a grand opening celebration and is offering customers who join them tomorrow 15 per cent off their meal.

Inspired by the timeless allure of Middle Eastern cuisine, restaurant owners said the new eatery was born out of a passion for sharing diverse culinary heritage that spans across the Arabian Peninsula, Levant, North Africa , and beyond.

Wared says its mission is to provide a memorable dining experience, combining the freshest ingredients, skilled craftsmanship and impeccable service.

“We believe that food has the remarkable power to transcend borders, connect people, and create unforgettable memories,” said restaurant on its website. “With this vision in mind, we set out to create a dining experience that captures the essence of Middle Eastern culture.”

The menu features a wide variety of options for Mediterranean food lovers.

Start with some hummus or baba ghanoush for an appetizer. Feeling like a sandwich for lunch, grab a halloumi, avocado toast or egg burger sandwich.

There’s plenty from the grill on the menu. From the usual favourites like beef and chicken kabob to lamb chop, beef tikka and a meat ouzee, there’s a wide variety of dinner options to choose from.

Then top off your meal with some mango, strawberry, pistachio, or alman wa al salwa ice cream.

Wared Restaurant is open seven days a week. Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
