Burlington’s second Farm Boy is now open.

Today, Aug. 15, the growing grocery brand officially opened its new store at 3230 Fairview Street.

It will be Farm Boy’s 50th Canadian location. The chain also recently launched a store in Mississauga.

Farm Boy shoppers can expect fresh produce (including local and organic products), hormone-free and organic meat, dairy and other grocery goods, Canadian beef, pork and chicken, a hot bar and a salad bar, grab-and-go items, a curated collection of private label products exclusive to Farm Boy, a wide selection of international and Canadian cheeses and more.

Typically Farm Boy stores are smaller than other large chain grocers and are located in areas with plenty of parking. At Fairview, the store will be in the former Pier 1 Imports and is near the Burlington Centre.

“This new location emphasizes our commitment to delivering fresh, quality products, exceptional value, and unparalleled customer service while fostering a deep connection with the local community,” reads a statement released by the grocer announcing the opening.

Farm Boy is owned by Sobey’s. The first store opened in 1981 and has steadily spread across the country.

The original Burlington Farm Boy is at 3061 Walkers Line.

Today’s opening will feature several activities including live musicians, food samples, exclusive offers, and giveaways with festivities continuing through Sunday, Aug. 18.
