A new exhibition by local painters, photographers and creatives has opened today (Sept. 22) at the Helson Gallery in Halton Hills.

The exhibition called Re-emergence, will run from now until Nov. 14, and will examine artists’ creativity along with how they found inspiration over the past year. Additionally, it will feature over fifty works, many of which will be available for purchase.

A display of works by the Halton Hills Plein Air Painters is also currently on view until Oct. 10 in the Sisnett Lobby.

This exhibition consists of a group that meets on a weekly basis from spring to late fall to paint in a Halton Hills area park. It includes Monica Burnside, Carol Hughes, Sheila Mitchell, Beatrice Roche, Rose Scully and Susan Ying. Many of their paintings of local scenery will also be offered for sale.

“Artists and creatives of all types help make our community culturally vibrant and the Helson Gallery and Sisnett Lobby afford them an excellent venue to show and sell their work,” said Mayor Rick Bonnette.

The Helson Gallery, located at 9 Church St., is open from Wednesdays to Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The public is reminded that masks and social distancing are required when visiting the gallery.
