Police are investigating after a nail was reportedly found in Halloween candy in Milton.
Police are investigating after a nail was reportedly found in Halloween candy in Milton.
Halton police say that on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, officers were made aware of an incident in which a nail inserted into a chocolate bar collected by a 12-year-old boy.
The mini or ‘fun size’ chocolate bar was a Mr. Big candy.
The candy was collected by the boy on Halloween night in the area of Derry Road and Bronte Street South.
Police are investigating the incident and would encourage all parents to thoroughly check their children’s candy regardless of where it was collected.
Anyone who locates anything suspicious in their children’s candy is asked to contact police.
